Help-In-Crisis Announces the Launch of a Community Initiative to Eliminate Violence in Tahlequah

**  Imagine Tahlequah as a community where you don't worry about forgetting to lock your doors and windows every night.

** Imagine Tahlequah as a community where our children still play freely until the street lights come on.

** Imagine Tahlequah as a community where you can walk down any street at midnight without fear.

** Imagine Tahlequah as a community where all homes are filled with happy and loving families, living in peace.

Help-In-Crisis is excited to announce the launch of a community initiative that can make these visions a reality.  Funded by the Oklahoma Department of Health, this five-year grant will be administered by HIC, with cooperation from the community. We are recruiting educators, faith-based agency members, policy makers, law enforcement officers, health care providers, and concerned citizens to join forces to create a violence-free community.

We recognize that the goal we have chosen is not an easy one.  However, our plan can be achieved through collaborations and by joining forces to establish social change.  Together we can establish Tahalequah as a community where people are safe in their relationships, homes, neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces.

More information on this grant-based project will be posted as it becomes available.
