Programs & Services

Help-In-Crisis offers a variety of different programs to assist in various needs.  Please choose from the list above for more information about individual programs.

 

COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES OFFERED IN ADAIR, CHEROKEE, WAGONER, AND SEQUOYAH COUNTIES

Domestic Violence Shelter--A safe place for women and their children fleeing violent homes.  Children's programs offering education on violence prevention and personal safety.

14-Hour Crisis Hotline--Crisis line staffed 365 days per year by trained volunteers, providing crisis intervention, information, and referral.

Court Advocacy--Advocacy in the four counties with protective orders, support, and referrals for legal issues related to domestic violence and sexual assault.

Sexual Assault Services--Emergency response and advocacy for victims of sexual assault in four county hospitals through the SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) program and counseling services.  Incest survivors support group and counseling.

Sexual Assault Prevention--Prevention activities, including presentations in all schools in the four counties.

Child Abuse Prevention--HUG (Helping U Grow) program, providing services to new mothers.  Trained counselors and parent educators serve new parents in Cherokee and Adair counties.

Counseling--Group and individual counseling to assist survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their dependent children.

Supervised Visitation--Supervision of parent visitation is conducted at the Crisis Center.  Supervised visitation is profided for both volunteer and court ordered supervision.

Positive Choices Batterer's Intervention Program--52-week program for court referred batterers.  Meetings held weekly and facilitated by a trained counselor.

Children's Advocacy Center--Advocacy center serving four counties for child victims of abuse and sexual assault.

Transitional Living--After-shelter support for families through two units of transitional living.
